Having studied Art History, Nicola Doubleday began her career working for the prestigious auction house Bonhams in her native England in 2011. After securing a position as a trainee in the Watch Department at the Head Office in London she quickly developed a passion for vintage watches and the second hand watch market.

Nicola moved to Munich in 2016 where she worked in the Jewellery and Watch department at the family run Neumeister auction house before joining the Bachmann & Scher team in early 2020.

Her combination of knowledge and passion for watches along with her experience in dealing with international clients places her perfectly for helping to field our back office enquiries from clients around the globe. She also enjoys researching and cataloguing pieces and helping to maintain the new entries for our website.

Nicola has diverse taste and has a number of favourite watches from various brands and eras. Flying the flag for British watchmaking and independent manufacturers, one of her favourite pieces is the Millennium by legendary horologer George Daniels. She’s also not immune to the undeniable appeal of a vintage Rolex Day-Date especially one with a colourful “Stella" dial.
