This is a wonderful DAY-DATE with a modern and very understated silver dial with applied stick indexes and an English day disc.
Due to the understated dial and the quality of the platinum case and bracelet, the appearance is super modern.
In 1956, Hans Wilsdorf personally presented a new watch with the reference number 6510 or 6511.
As usual with ROLEX, it was a watch that was to point the way and once again incorporated new patents.
The 1030 movement known from the Submariner was repurposed and further developed.
The result was the display of the date at the 3 o'clock position and the display of the day of the week beyond the 12 o'clock position.
This was the first watch with a written day of the week. The language of the day of the week was available in 26 languages then and now.
