We are very proud to offer you this very good ROLEX vintage SUBMARINER BIG CROWN James Bond Ref.5510 in stainless steel on its later steel bracelet (-77).
Manufactured in 1958, the Reference 5510 was the last of the Big Crown Submariner models. Only built in 1958 and 1959. She also goes under the nickname James Bond Submariner, refering to Sean Connery, who wore a 6538 in his first four 007 adventures.
This big BREVET crown diver Rolex watch is all authentic and in beautiful condition. The caliber is the early Butterfly 1530 caliber, that was first used in the 5510 from 1958 onwards.
It is believed that not more than 300 pieces were produced.
We found a Royal Navy 5510 with the same equipment (Radium dial, hands and bezel inlay), and only 13 numbers away from this one here, auctioned by Bonhams in 2009.
Legendary and super cool collector's high end Rolex tool watch with the beauty of the 1950s.
Coming from the private collection of a known watch afficionado and VIP!
Clearly an important ROLEX investment piece.
Comes with a one year warranty from our watch lab.
