For the Watches and Wonders in 2023 Rolex presented a couple of new watches, so far so predictable. What nobody expected was the release of the maybe most controversial discussed watches the Swiss Company ever produced - a ROLEX DAY-DATE.
Even though it is a Day-Date, the watch doesn`t tell you either the day nor the date. This off cataogue rarity is powered by the known chronometer certified movement 3255 and has a orange champlevé enamel dial with a jigsaw puzzle motif. This dial version is only availabe on the rose gold DAY-DATE. To top the bright colors the indices are ten baguette cut sapphires in six different colors.
Instead of the normal day the 12 o`clock window is filled with seven inspirational words, “Happy", “Eternity", “Gratitude”, “Peace", “Faith", “Love" and “Hope”. The date window at 3 o’clock reveals daily one of 31 emojis, from a ROLEX sign over a unicorn to different smiley faces.
Ultra rare high end piece with maybe a handfull examples for each country and a design which you either love or hate.
Highly collectable DAY-DATE and a perfect statement piece for ladies as well as gentleman.
