When it first appeared in 1968, the Ellipse dOr was very different from conventional timepieces. Beyond fleeting fashion trends, the watch fascinates with its unique geometry, the proportions of which are perceived as very harmonious. This is due to the design, which is based on the rules of the "golden section" of antiquity. This divine proportion with an aspect ratio of 1: 1.6180 was discovered by Greek mathematicians and can be found in many of the greatest buildings and works of art in human history. The Ellipse d'Or has an intense blue dial with fine indexes and hands.
