We are proud to offer you this very good to exelennt Rolex vintage EXPLORER Ref.5501 in 9k yellow gold stainless steel with Flex-Oysterbracelet.
Manufactured in 1961, this Explorer example shows characteristic Trititum indexes for this dial without 3-6-9 numerals. It is powered by Rolex caliber 1530.
Its an ultra-rare find in steel and gold, specially with a steel and gold Flex OYster bracelet. Those were the last two tone EXPLORER watches from Rolex, since their use als tool watches did only make sense in steel cases.
Amazing and highly collectable Rolex for connoisseurs.
The EXPLORER watches became famous for beeing part of the Peter Hunt expedition equipent to Mt. Everest.
