Only produced for two to three years this SPEEDMASTER version is officialy inspired by the so called Racing Dial, found on SPEEDMASTER Mark II or various Professionals executions.
The inofficial story goes a little different and has led to the nickname of the watch. TIN TIN, a famous comic figure that made a trip to the moon in his adventure “Destination Moon” from 1953. The rocket had the exact same red and white checkerboard design as the minute scale. For some reason the planned colaboration did not materialise and OMEGA released the watch a couple of years later on their own.
The TIN TIN is not a designated limited edition but it is estimated that only around 2000 examples have been made.
Quit rare watch with the long runner caliber 1861 built in and of course all the history behind the first watch that went to the moon with APOLLO XI in 1969!
The 42mm case is perfect to wear, not only on a gentlemans wrist.
Comes with a one year warranty through our watch lab.
